Poetry by the letters again..P Q, and R…enjoy

Yup at it again. Hope you enjoy

Pixie Princess ©2006

Pretty little pixie
flying on wings of gauze
eyes changing colors
from blue to silver and back

Sensitive little girl
grown to a young woman now
Eyes so sad at times
wont let me comfort her

Where is my little princess
my sweet little pixie in green
too soon you will be gone
oldest of my three

I love you my princess
and I miss my pixie in green
be happy little girl
you will always be the pixie princess to me

quiet longing

Sitting in my room
staring at nothing
my eyes seeing
what isn’t there

Soft eyes
strong arms holding me close
a murmur in my ear
gentle words of love

But you aren’t here
I’m not there
so I open my eyes
lost in longing

Real music

The beat moves
but the words are lost
for percussion has taken over
from the melodies of old

Rocking to the beat is fun
but let’s remember
that music should convey
feelings as well as beat

Not sure when I wrote the last one but well…I do a lot of different things and I don’t always remember to put the copyright year on them.

M, N and O…yup more poetry by the letter

Here we are halfway through the alphabet…such a hot summer day and I think I will do what I can

This first one was just from me listening to a lot of my favorite artists!

Music Man

Touch the  keys,
sing the songs,
tug our hearts,
make us cry.

You are the master,
showing us ourselves,
but I have one thought,
have you shown us you?
Or just a shadow of you?

Now this one was during a hard time waiting to live with the man of my dreams

Never ending Age

Days flow by
flying faster each year
never ending
waiting for change

once there was hope
then there was longing
then loneliness
now there is resignation

I used to believe in a future
longed for a time together
now I live in the present
knowing I am alone

We live in the day
longing for the night
hoping for an instant
but stuck in an never ending age

And this one…well I think you can tell what it is about!

A deep breath
a slow touch
fingers against skin
a quiet moan

loving through the night
to the breaking of the dawn
two no longer alone
hearts and bodies  are one

Poetry can go from one extreme to the other. I am doing my best not to put up the depressing ones I wrote for the longest time but heck they are mine and I own them!

J, K and L…poetry by the letter

Next in my series of poems. Hopefully you readers will enjoy them.

Just a friend

She held your heart in her hand,
and she threw it away,
now you talk of doing yourself harm,
and all I can do is cry.

We are but friends,
you and I,
but I care,
I try to ease the pain.

But what good are my words,
when you need arms to hold you tight,
eyes that look only for you,
I am just a friend.

Curled up so sweet
napping the evening away
curled up with a tiny girl
both so sweet

Someday she will be grown
years from now you will be gone
she will have a child of her own
curled up with her kitty too

little curly top
Sweet little curly top
sleeping next to me
sweet little curly top
who will you be?

sweet little curly top
will you be a dancer?
sweet little curly top
will you be a prancer?

sweet little curly top
youngest darling child
sweet little curly top
meek yet wild

Someday my child
you will grow beyond me
but for now
you are my sweet little curly top
